Belly dance is suited to a woman's natural movements and students will not only find muscles they didn't know they had, but also body confidence. Your age or size does not matter for this ancient art. In this class we will explore the foundations of belly dance for the beginning student including dance posture, basic dance isolations, traveling steps, simple combinations, and musical timing. A straight forward but creative choreography will help you put it all together.
No dance experience is necessary. If you are coming back to belly dance this class will be a good refresher. Please wear comfortable clothing such as yoga/exercise pants and a tank-top or t-shirt.
