Rejuvenate with restorative yoga and essential oils! During this class, participants will be fully supported and grounded in relaxing restorative poses, using blankets, blocks, bolsters, and other props to support you. Specific poses have been chosen for this class that help support the function of the immune system. This kind of resting can also reduce tension, fatigue, and ease experiences of anxiety - moving one into a peaceful state of deep relaxation. During the practice, everyone will get to experience different essential oils to enhance the experience. After the restorative yoga class, there will be an educational portion about the essential oils used in class and how they can be used to support the immune system to protect against seasonal threats. Attendees will leave with some reference material.
No prior yoga experience is necessary for this workshop.
Carrie’s love of yoga is fostered from a need for balance in her life after struggling with anxiety from a high-pressure corporate job. With a strong desire to help others find peace in this crazy world, she completed her 200-hour RYT training with Dominica Knapp at Ananda Shala in Frederick, MD. After discovering the importance of rest to complement a busy life and active yoga practice, she was called to incorporate restorative yoga in her practice and teaching. She studied restorative yoga under Tara Lemerise's Rest for All Teacher Training. Carrie also has been studying, using, and selling doTERRA essential oils since 2016. She is certified as a Level 2 Reiki Healer – she studied under Reiki Master Irene Glasse.
