As summer gives way to autumn, nature invites us into a season of contraction, refinement, and reevaluation. In Chinese medicine, autumn is associated with the Metal element, Lung, and Large Intestine - a time to breathe more deeply, release what no longer needs to be carried, and make room for what is most meaningful and precious.
Led by Machelle Lee, founder of Roots & River Yoga, and Dr. Sam Francis, owner of Five Dances Wellness, this workshop explores the physical, psychological, and spiritual qualities of autumn through Yin Yoga, Chinese medicine, and acupuncture.
The afternoon begins with a full Yin Yoga practice focused on the Lung and Large Intestine organs and meridians preparing you for Fall. Following, you will be guided into a supported resting pose and Dr. Sam will offer acupuncture to the ears and hands to support the energetic qualities of the season and encourage balance in body and mind.
