Closing Reception of Kaleidoscope: Celebrating Raya's Artwork

  • Roots & River Yoga 30 West Potomac Street Brunswick, MD, 21716 United States (map)

As Raya Yeary’s four-month exhibition, Kaleidoscope, comes to a close, we’d love to gather together one more time to celebrate her work and the creativity she has shared with our community.

At Roots & River Yoga, our rotating gallery is one of the ways we nurture connection and creativity in our space. Over the past four months, Raya’s bold, vibrant work has brought color, energy, and moments of inspiration to the studio, becoming part of the experience of so many who have passed through our doors.

Now, we invite you to join us for a Closing Reception celebrating Raya and Kaleidoscope. Come spend some time with the collection, enjoy light refreshments, connect with fellow community members, and help us celebrate Raya before the exhibition comes down.

We’re grateful to Raya for sharing her vision and her work with us, and for the opportunity to continue creating a space where movement, art, and community come together.

Raya Yeary is a Maryland-based artist and the owner of Talon Studio Tattoo, where she has been tattooing professionally since 1996. She holds a BFA in printmaking and sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her creative practice spans tattooing, painting, and graphic art.

Known for her bold, vibrant style, Raya’s work is defined by dynamic patterns, varied line weights, and expressive, bright color palettes. Her pieces carry a strong visual energy while reflecting a deep foundation in fine art and design.

A Maryland native, Raya grew up in Rockville and spent years traveling and working across the country before returning to the state in 2004. She later expanded her practice to include permanent cosmetics in 2012. Today, she continues to create while balancing life as a business owner, artist, and mother. Raya’s work brings a vivid, contemporary voice to the studio gallery, celebrating color, movement, and individuality.
