Foundations of Tai Chi for Beginner Students
8 Week Series
Mondays, 4:45-5:45pm
Aug 18th - Oct 6th (No Class Sept 1st - Labor Day)

This introductory course offers a gentle entry point into the practice of Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese art that harmonizes movement, breath, and awareness. In Grasp the Sparrow’s Tail, students will learn foundational postures and principles that support balance, coordination, and inner calm.

As one of two beginner-level courses (paired with The Four Corners), this class can be taken on its own or as part of a progression toward learning full Tai Chi form. The two courses alternate on our schedule and may be taken in any order—each stands alone and also complements the other.

Whether you're brand new or looking to deepen your foundation, this class will help you:
• Learn and embody the core movements of Tai Chi
• Develop proper posture and body alignment
• Cultivate internal energy and a sense of flow
• Improve flexibility, coordination, and balance
• Experience the meditative, centering qualities of Tai Chi

Students are welcome to repeat the Foundations courses as often as they like to build confidence and integration before moving on to the Tai Chi Form class, offered later this year.

Cost: $144 (8 week series)
