The calming, transformative, and expansive power of sound has been honored since ancient times and practiced across cultures including Ancient Greece, Aboriginal Australia, Tibet, and Native American traditions.
Featuring Tara’s extensive collection of antique Tibetan sound bowls, this 90-minute immersive sound meditation invites you into deep rest and inner exploration. Benefits may include profound relaxation, a renewed sense of connection and love for your inner self, fresh perspective for moving beyond old patterns, and a gentle activation of energy and circulation throughout the body.
One of the most beautiful aspects of a sound bath is that there is nothing you need to “do.” Simply lie comfortably on a mat and allow yourself to be carried by the unfolding acoustic landscape. As waves of vibration and frequency move through you, your body and mind naturally receive exactly what they need.
Tara will open the session with a gentle introduction and guide you through a thoughtfully curated sonic journey, including:
Grounding drum and conscious breath
Vocal toning with the shruti box
Enchanting chimes
Deep, spiraling sounds with “The Wave”
Resonant antique singing bowls
Expansive inner exploration with the symphonic gong
A soothing return with the ocean drum
Following the journey, there will be space to share reflections and experiences for those who feel called to do so.
Simply come as you are - props are provided, and you’re welcome to bring extra comforts for a cozy experience.
Cost: $38
Tara finds joy and purpose in introducing others to the transformative power of sound. She has been studying sound since 2023, beginning with a 100-hour intensive in sound theory, techniques, and overtone instruments, and continuing with additional training, including a recent singing bowl intensive. After a year of self-guided practice, she began sharing sound within her community.
Through her practice, Resounding Self, Tara sequences her instruments to gently settle the body and ease the mind, allowing thoughts to move freely while guiding participants inward. She facilitates sessions for individuals, couples, small groups, and families, creating a secure and immersive space using the frame drum, chimes, antique bronze singing bowls, shruti box, ocean drum, and symphonic gong. Tara is grateful to share her sound at Roots & River.
