The practice of yoga asana, the rhythm of kirtan chants, and the stillness of meditation are all gateways into mindfulness. This unique practice will be a joyful union of song, movement, and inner reflection. Like a moving meditation, Brian will create the heart beat and flow with live music as Machelle guides a creative vinyasa flow in service of discharging tensions held in the body and creating opening in the mind and heart. Following the asana practice, Brian will lead a chanting practice in the Bhakti Yoga tradition of kirtan to further still the mind and cultivate a connection to our inner voice. As song winds down, all will settle into stillness as Machelle weaves poetry through a guided meditation and then into a deep savasana rest.
This offering is donation based. Proceeds will be shared equally to benefit a local charity (to be announced here soon). The suggested donation is $15-25 at the door. Online registration is available to reserve your space for $20, or register online and donate in person, or simply drop in the night of the event.
