Six (6) Sundays - March 1st - April 5th, 1:00-5:00pm
Archetypes are all around us: sun and moon, inner child, young lovers, tricksters, sages/mentors, wise old women & men, and many more. These recognizable characters are most often seen in myths and stories that explain simple but profound truths about what it is to be human. The tarot is like an unbound book -- cards decorated with archetypes and events that are free to rearrange themselves to tell a different story every time. Since the subconscious speaks in myths, dreams, and symbols, tarot is one of the most elegant ways in which that deep part of ourselves can speak to us and make itself known.
Over the course of six consecutive Sunday afternoons together, we will explore all four suits and the master suit known as the Major Arcana, the 16 court cards that represent different characters and personalities, and offer a new layout of cards, known as a spread, every time we get together. There will be time for lecture, discussion, practice with other students, and deep personal introspection. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to get to know the tarot and, more importantly, yourself.
Bring a journal and your imagination-- we look forward to seeing you there!
Cost: $250 for all 6 weeks or $225 for 5 weeks if you have already taken the Intro to Tarot workshop at Roots & River Yoga and prefer to not repeat it (though repetition of the intro course can be super helpful in deepening understanding). If you have taken the full tarot course already at Roots & River Yoga and wish to repeat it, you can do so for 20% off. For the 5 week course or to register to repeat the full course - email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
