In the Five Element tradition of Chinese Medicine, Winter is governed by the Water Element, a season of stillness, conservation, and deep restoration. Nature has turned inward and we are invited to slow down, replenish our energy, and honor the quiet rhythms of the soul's rest.
The organs associated with Water are the Kidneys and Urinary Bladder, which relate to the preservation of vitality and the movement of fluids. In this seasonal Yin Yoga workshop, Machelle will explore the physical, energetic, and psychological dimensions of Water through gentle, long-held floor postures that nourish the connective tissues and meridian pathways associated with these organs.
Throughout the practice, we will explore the deeper themes of Winter, including navigating through fear, building trust, resilience, and the transformation of uncertainty into understanding and wisdom. Through stillness and reflection, we will create space to listen inward, replenish our inner resources, and discover the value that comes from honoring our need for rest.
No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Come as you are and embrace the quiet of Winter, allowing stillness to nuture you and wisdom to emerge in its own time.
Cost: $50
