As summer gives way to autumn, nature invites us into a season of contraction, refinement, and reevaluation. In Chinese medicine, autumn is associated with the Metal element, Lung, and Large Intestine - a time to breathe more deeply, release what no longer needs to be carried, and make room for what is most meaningful and precious.
Led by Machelle Lee (Roots & River) and Dr. Sam Francis (Five Dances Wellness), this workshop explores the physical, psychological, and spiritual qualities of autumn through Yin Yoga, Chinese medicine, and acupuncture.
The afternoon begins with a full Yin Yoga practice focused on the Lung and Large Intestine meridians and their associated organs. Following, you’ll settle into a deeply restorative and meditative space while Dr. Sam offers acupuncture to the ears and limbs. This quiet time of rest and receiving is designed to support the energetic qualities of the season and encourage balance in body and mind.
A space to pause, take inventory, put down what no longer needs to be carried, and make room for what is most meaningful and precious.
